About The Founder
Founded in 2019 by Shawanna, Alternative Beauty Artistry has come a long way from its beginnings in Shawanna's small home studio space. She is multi -certified in Permanent Make-up, in Lash Extensions, certified in Semi-permanent Makeup and believes in continuous development and learning.
When Shawanna first started out, her passion for helping others lead her to pursue a career in a helping profession. She has a background in Social Work, Health Studies & Health Services. She quit her day job, which gave her the impetus to turn hard work and inspiration into a booming career as a Permanent Makeup Artist. She now serves customers all over the Durham Region and the Greater Toronto Area, and is thrilled to be a part of the Permanent Makeup industry.
